I've come to realise that after the first child has passed certain minor developmental milestones, the milestones lose impact by the time the poor, overlooked second child reaches them (goodness knows how third and subsequent children fare. Does anyone even notice when they start walking?).
A few weeks ago Jasmine drew her first 'landscape' which contains a sun, sky and grass. I was so thrilled to be able to see recognisable images that you'd have thought she'd whipped out a Picasso! Well, let's be honest, it is still a little on the 'modernist' side of recognisable.
